The Ashton Mitchell team recently traded the studio for the harbour, taking part in the annual GIB Architects Regatta, a great afternoon out on the water with others from Auckland’s architecture industry.
Sailing on the Waitematā Harbour in excellent conditions, the crew joined the fleet for a relaxed race around the harbour. It was a welcome chance to step away from the desk, enjoy the sea breeze, and see Auckland from a different perspective.
The Ashton Mitchell crew was joined by guests including Julian Brown from Pacific Padel and Bryan Kelly from Design Lodge, with Bryan sharing his racing expertise to help guide the boat around the course and add a competitive edge to the sail.
