Ashton Mitchell is pleased to see construction well underway for Crown Storage and Grace, an industrial development in Porirua, Wellington, that will deliver two high-quality storage and workplace facilities designed for long-term efficiency and environmental performance.
Located on a 9,851m² site beside the Porirua Scenic Reserve, the project reimagines a former Ministry of Works yard into a modern, sustainable industrial precinct. The two purpose-built facilities have been carefully designed to support specialised storage operations.

The Crown building features 4,295m² of warehouse space, incorporating a showroom and office, with a rear yard for container storage and operational support. Grace, the smaller of the two, provides a climate-controlled IL3-level secure storage and long-term items, alongside a compact office for 6–8 staff. Targeting Green Star certification, sustainability has been integrated into the design, from efficient building systems, water-sensitive design and on-site solar energy production.
We’re excited to see these buildings take shape over the next few months.
