“Confined parameters meets contemporary living.”
The Eadie House is a ‘stand alone’ 2 level apartment on the shores of Lake Pupuke built within the confined envelope of the previous dwelling to meet strict council controls. The house maintains a simple rectangular form that is contained under a gently curved floating roof; the form opens out to the lake whilst preserving privacy to the street and close adjacent neighbours.
Full width sliding glazed walls along the lake front side allow the outdoor panorama to become an extension of the lower level living zones, for seamless transition to the extensively landscaped gardens.
