Ashton Mitchell are thrilled to announce that Rebecca Kane and Daniel Van de Wydeven have been officially approved by the NZRAB last week as Registered Architects. The team at Ashton Mitchell would like to congratulate both of you on the significant milestone which has been achieved through hard-work, sacrifice and talent.

Rebecca joined Ashton Mitchell in 2017 and has been an integral staff member, project lead and mentor within the office since. Most recently, Rebecca has led the TEAL on Orakei project through conception, developed design, detailed design, and is currently guiding this through the construction process with completion due in 2022. Rebecca has previously been the project lead on Merfield Street Early Childhood Education Centre and also plays a role in Ashton Mitchell’s design team, having developed numerous projects including a range of Kāinga Ora and commercial projects. We also want to thank Rebecca for leading the Ashton Mitchell Graduate group, assisting up and coming graduates in the office towards the milestone of Architectural Registration.

Dan joined Ashton Mitchell in 2016, and was appointed an Associate in early 2020 due to his efforts in leading our documentation and delivery teams of several large multi-unit residential projects. Most recently, Dan led the team working on FABRIC of Onehunga – Stage 1 which was completed in 2020 which has since won a NZIA Auckland Local award and Property Council New Zealand Merit award. He has previously been an integral team member of Waterview Court, Galway Street, Miro Apartments and is currently project lead on OMC – Onehunga Mall Club and FABRIC of Onehunga – Stage 2.
